Strollers Theatre Announces Continued Operations, Transition Plan
March 6th, 2008 Posted in General AnnouncementsStrollers Theatre, Ltd. announces that its 2007-2008 season will proceed as scheduled, and that it will continue as a Bartell Theatre Participating Theatre Company (PTC) through the 2008-2009 season.
Recent news articles indicating that Strollers Theatre, Ltd. was on hiatus have been superseded by a transition plan and interim board of directors to replace those who have retired and resigned. The interim board of directors includes Tony Trout as president, Lauri Roman as vice president, Miranda McClenaghan as treasurer, David Lawver as secretary, and Don McCoy as past president. All will serve until annual elections are held in April.
Strollers will complete their 2007-2008 season with the production of “The Miss Firecracker Contest.” Auditions will take place at the Bartell on March 17th and 18th, 2008, and opening in the Drury Theatre of the Bartell on May 14th, 2008.
Strollers Theatre will continue at the Bartell Theatre as a Participating Theatre Company with a full complement of shows for the 2008-2009 season. As in years past the specific shows will be announced following the annual meeting.

Critics constantly praise the high quality of acting, inventive staging, and the close-knit audience contact of our intimate productions. Strollers presents traditional fare such as “You Can’t Take It With You” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf,” classics like Shakespeare, Moliere, and Chekhov, musicals such as “Cabaret” and “A Little Night Music,” and little-known or seldom-performed plays like “The Weir” and “The Lieutenant of Inishmore.”
