“Noises Off” Rotating Set

If you saw Strollers’ production of “Noises Off” and stayed in the theater during the intermissions you got to see something fairly uncommon in community theater: a huge rotating set. The two-story set was a multi-month build for carpenter Terry Bradshaw and his merry band of volunteers, as they built it twice: first in a warehouse and once again in the Drury. Casters were the wheels, many loaned from other local theater companies, and it pivoted around a point near the center of the Drury’s stage. While it couldn’t rotate 360 degrees because of the stairwells, it is an impressive accomplishment.
