“Noises Off” Rotating Set
March 19th, 2008 Posted in General AnnouncementsIf you saw Strollers’ production of “Noises Off” and stayed in the theater during the intermissions you got to see something fairly uncommon in community theater: a huge rotating set. The two-story set was a multi-month build for carpenter Terry Bradshaw and his merry band of volunteers, as they built it twice: first in a warehouse and once again in the Drury. Casters were the wheels, many loaned from other local theater companies, and it pivoted around a point near the center of the Drury’s stage. While it couldn’t rotate 360 degrees because of the stairwells, it is an impressive accomplishment.
