Strollers Theatre

General Membership Meeting: 6/23/2008, 7 PM

There will be a general membership meeting on Monday, June 23rd, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the Evjue Theatre of the Bartell. The purpose of the meeting will be to change the approved 2008-2009 season, under Article V Section 9 of the Strollers Bylaws. Please enter through the lobby of the Bartell.

The changes stem from being unable to get rights to Pinter’s “Homecoming” as well as the suggestion of a fundraiser over Valentine’s Day 2009.

The proposed replacement for “Homecoming” is Jeff Daniels’ “Apartment 3A.” It was selected by the play reading committee in case we were unable to secure rights. It would run in the same slot as “Homecoming.”

The fundraiser, as approved by the Board, would be a revue similar to that which Millennium Theatre used to do. It would run for four shows, Friday and Saturdays, between February 1 and February 14th, in the Drury Theatre. It would be a great way for Madison to spend Valentines Day and a fun thing for the season subscribers to have as their fifth show.

The email announcing this meeting went to active Strollers members on Monday. However, with all  membership meetings non-members are welcome to attend and join.
