Strollers Theatre, Ltd. announces that its 2007-2008 season will proceed as scheduled, and that it will continue as a Bartell Theatre Participating Theatre Company (PTC) through the 2008-2009 season.

Recent news articles indicating that Strollers Theatre, Ltd. was on hiatus have been superseded by a transition plan and interim board of directors to replace those who have retired and resigned. The interim board of directors includes Tony Trout as president, Lauri Roman as vice president, Miranda McClenaghan as treasurer, David Lawver as secretary, and Don McCoy as past president. All will serve until annual elections are held in April.

Strollers will complete their 2007-2008 season with the production of “The Miss Firecracker Contest.” Auditions will take place at the Bartell on March 17th and 18th, 2008, and opening in the Drury Theatre of the Bartell on May 14th, 2008.

Strollers Theatre will continue at the Bartell Theatre as a Participating Theatre Company with a full complement of shows for the 2008-2009 season. As in years past the specific shows will be announced following the annual meeting.

Since 1958, Strollers Theatre has brought entertaining and thoughtful theater to Madison.
